This one took everything.
We listed the week the US entered a war. The market got quiet in ways I hadn’t seen before. Showings were slow. We waited. We stayed the course.
We got an offer. We negotiated hard. Both sides agreed… and then the dominoes started falling.
The buyer’s contract on their home fell apart. Then a second offer came in on their property and was rescinded. Then a third interested party showed up… self-employed, passionate about the home, and running into walls with financing. Their agent and I put our heads together, researched lender options, and found a path forward. Shout out to Clarke and his team at Pacific Community Lender! Go-to for complicated lending situations (and non-complicated too!).
And yesterday, we closed!
Three families. Three new chapters. One transaction that tested every ounce of patience, creativity, and trust I had.
I’m so proud of my sellers. They were stressed, and rightfully so! They had a move depending on this, a timeline, a life waiting on the other side. They felt every twist of this transaction, and they kept going anyway. That’s not calm. That’s courage. And we got there!
There’s always a little void after a closing… the people (and their dogs) you’ve been deep in the trenches with suddenly move on to their next chapter, as they should. That’s the job. That’s the gift of it.
This is what real estate actually looks like sometimes. And I wouldn’t trade it.
