Just an FYI:

Winter Parking Begins Nov. 20, Parking Pass Sales Begin Oct. 22
Town of Vail parking passes go on sale Oct. 22. Parking rates and pass prices remain the same as last year.
Post Date: 10/21/2026 1:55 PM
The Town of Vail has finalized its daily parking rates and pass offerings for winter 2026-27, maintaining the same retail rate structure and pass offerings as the previous winter season. New this winter, the start of paid parking will begin Nov. 20, a week after Vail Mountain opens Nov. 13. Typically, paid parking coincides with Vail Mountain’s opening day.

As in previous years, daily parking rates will fluctuate based on peak and non-peak days. View the calendar at vail.gov/parking. There will be a slight reduction of days classified as peak days, with the Mondays of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Presidents’ Day weekends classified as non-peak. The Lionshead and Vail Village parking structures will continue the popular program that offers free parking for vehicles entering after 3 p.m. until 4 a.m.

Town of Vail Parking Passes
Public online pass sales begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22 at vail.gov/parkingpasses. There is no limit to the quantity of passes sold and sales will be available throughout the winter season. Buyers are encouraged to purchase in advance since passes require up to three business days to be approved and activated.

Vail business owners and workers, as well as Eagle County residents can enjoy savings on the above rates with discounted or free access in Town of Vail lots. Benefits vary depending on pass type. Passes purchased during the winter 2026-27 season will also include benefits for the 2027 summer season, to be announced next spring. After selecting a pass, users will sign in to their existing parking account or sign up for a new account and upload any required documentation as proof of eligibility. Proof of eligibility is required for each new pass purchase. Payment will not be processed until the parking pass is approved, which can take up to three business days. The credit card used for pass purchase will be saved as the card on file but can be changed at any time in the parking account and will be automatically charged at exit if a fee is accrued while parking.

The system will immediately generate a QR code parking pass that can be printed, emailed, saved as a PDF, or added to a mobile wallet. The code will not work at the entry kiosk until approved and activated by the Town of Vail, which may take up to three business days. Users will receive an email once approved. The QR code must be scanned at entrance and at exit, though the users will have the option of linking a license plate to the parking pass as a backup.

Contact the town’s parking sales office at 970-479-2104 or email [email protected] for more information.
