Just Sold in Crested Butte, and this one is ours. Buying and Selling personally is an extraordinary reminder about how demanding the process really is, and gave me a lot of insight into what clients are experiencing real-world right now.

Celebrating the most unexpected thing: this is my first Quarter with Sotheby’s that a majority of volume in Crested Butte (versus tipped toward Vail) has earned me a “Best” title.

When I set my sights on expanding my career in what was my “secondary” home and market, I could not have imagined I’d represent a revitalized development, and eventually make a meaningful foothold in a place that rightfully prides itself on being local, and being real.

I wound up working with a few wild (and brave) Developer characters, expert attorneys, and tenacious professionals that are masters in their fields. I could not be luckier to have these teachers.

I came to CB for my partner Murray, and I stayed for the community. Tears in my eyes as I type this. Thank you to all of you.

Personal Account Re-Post: On 1/1 midday I started to come down with the Flu-Rona Virus. By nightfall I was totally destroyed, missing the next two days with my niece and nephew. It has been mostly Covid-like (bizarre and painful) symptoms, and it has been both persistent and brutal. Today marks Day 11. I get spurts of energy as I’m improving, and 2 of the last three mornings at dawn I’ve gone up to my listing(s) on a ridge inside the Crested Butte Mountain Resort ski area adjacent to 3 chairlifts. In December we closed 20 homesites at this development project. It was the culmination of 3.5 years of entitlements, sales, and a tremendous amount of energy. I posted on my work socials with little fanfare. But I can say now that I have earned a foothold in the CB market after setting my sites on this 6 years ago. I had a banner year in the Vail Valley as well, and that makes me the most proud. That I can do this in more than one place. Being a constant student is what makes me better for my clients. There are a lot of ways to live, and it can be Vail or Crested Butte (or Telluride or Steamboat or Summit County). We’re here to help make that right match, and that’s by seeing the world through different lenses. Thank you to Cassie, Murray, and all of the Buyer and Sellers I had the privilege to work with in 2025.

Nobody likes the idea of a big Lobby.

But who is advocating for you as a Homeowner?

Serving Realtors and Homeowners has been a highlight of my career. From 8 Years at the Vail Board of Realtors to now serving at the state level — this ensures I am serving both of my regions of Crested Butte and the Vail Valley.

I’m so excited to be appointed Vice Chair of the Land Use Sub for Legislative Policy Committee, and forging ahead on some of the hardest work I’ve ever done: tying to work in symbiosis with government to advance real estate projects, work-force housing, and everything else.

Cheers to the Midwesterners in Vail. To the listing clients that took me home to a way of life you can only understand growing up in places like Ohio or Illinois. They were hard-working and flexible in readying the listing. And then they played fair when the transaction presented challenges out of their control. That’s character you can’t buy.
