Dear Residents,
We would like to take a few minutes of your time and go over a few things you need to know to keep you as well as your home safe during all bad weather we may receive from the storm heading our way.
Electricity: More than likely you will lose electricity. If you don’t already have flash lights you will need to get them.
In the event of a power outage, unplug all your electronics. When the power comes back on the surge could damage them. If you lose power, please contact Georgia Power www.georgiapower.com/outage, Phone: 1-888-891-0938, or text “OUT” to 42797, to report it.
Water: If the power goes out, it’s likely that the water will as well. Make sure you have drinking water. Fill jugs or any containers for drinking water.
Fill your tub with water so you will be able to flush toilets etc. Store your tank lid in a safe place so it will not break, and fill your tank with water so you can flush.
Refrigerators: If power goes out put the stuff in the fridge that you want to use in a cooler. Keep the freezer door shut.
Patios: Remove all belongings from your patios and balcony’s. Flying debris will break windows and damage cars.
Gas: Fill up now while you can. Do not store gas cans in or near your apartment.
Flooding: In the event water starts to rise around your apartment, you need to immediately contact maintenance through the emergency number and get your belongings off the floor.
Trees: If trees hit your apartment, call 911 immediately and the maintenance emergency line.
Renters Insurance: Everyone should have renters’ insurance since it is required. As
discussed in your lease, we are not responsible for any personal belongings.
Download the Ready Georgia app to your phone, and it will give you updates as well as options for Traffic Updates and information for Shelters and Emergency Contacts.
If you have an emergency requiring a member of our Maintenance Team, please call the office at 229-244-9372, this is for your emergencies only.
Please do not call the Emergency line because your power or cable is out. You need to contact your provider for anything like that. We cannot control when the power will be restored.
Please stay safe!
Thank you!
