Real estate is not a nine-to-five job. The stress does not end when the office closes, some agents and lenders lose sleep trying to hold transactions together.

Behind most contracts is a real person facing a major life change. Sometimes it is an exciting new beginning, but other times it involves job loss, divorce, illness, death, financial hardship, or circumstances no one planned for. When I'm out at the farmers market, Horton's, or around town, I always get asked the same questions: "Where are you from?" "Who's your family?" Then comes, "Oh... you're a Realtor!"

If your grandparents were married in Berrien County, there's a good chance my great-grandfather, Felton L. Gaskins, officiated their wedding. He spent years serving Poplar Springs Church and Pine Grove Baptist, marrying hundreds of local couples. Alongside my great-grandmother, Eloise Nix, and my grandparents, Huey and Faye Gaskins, my family's roots have been planted here for generations.

My dad, Greg Lemmerman, came from Ohio but made South Georgia home. Many knew him from Chaparral Boats, Cadillac Ranch, or the golf course at Circlestone Country Club.

I'm a proud 2006 graduate of Berrien High School, earned my Associate degree from Georgia Military College and Bachelors degree from Valdosta State University, and have spent the last 17+ years in sales. For the past eight years, I've had the privilege of helping families buy and sell homes across South Georgia.
