IDP Properties Expands Affordable Housing Portfolio Across Georgia and Louisiana
VALDOSTA, GA — IDP Properties continues its commitment to strengthening communities across the Southeast through the development of high quality affordable housing communities, including Greenwood Landings in Dublin, Georgia, and Deerwood Landing Apartments and Le Fleur Apartments in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Together, the three developments represent 256 affordable housing units and more than $75 million in combined investment focused on expanding housing opportunities for workforce families and residents in growing communities throughout the region.
Greenwood Landings, located in Dublin, Georgia, is a 64 unit affordable housing community offering one, two, and three bedroom apartment homes designed for workforce families. The approximately $20 million development is conveniently located within walking distance of major retailers and healthcare facilities and includes a playground and EarthCraft certification, emphasizing energy efficiency and long term sustainability. Greenwood Landings was financed through a combination of State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds and Emergency Rental Assistance funding, with construction financing provided by Bank OZK and investment support from RBC Community Investments. The community was designed by Studio 8 and constructed by Giddeon Construction. Greenwood Landings will be professionally managed by Integrity Management Company.
Le Fleur Apartments in Lake Charles, Louisiana, will feature 48 affordable housing units designed to provide residents with convenient access to dining, entertainment, and major community amenities. The development includes federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Louisiana HOME Funds. Investment support was provided by RBC Community Investments, with construction financing through Cadence Bank and permanent financing through Centrant Bank. The community was designed by DNA Architects and constructed by The McDonnel Group, with a total development budget of approximately $15.9 million.
Deerwood Landing Apartments in Lake Charles, Louisiana, will bring 144 affordable housing units to the community and represents an investment of approximately $41 million. Financing partners include Churchill Stateside Group and the Louisiana Housing Corporation, with investment support from RBC Community Investments. The development was designed by DNA Architects and is being constructed by The McDonnel Group.
Both Deerwood Landing Apartments and Le Fleur Apartments will be professionally managed by Gulf Coast Housing Partnership.
