🏈 WATCH VSU 2026 SEASON OPENER @ GEORGIA BEER! 🏈

The Valdosta State University football team kicks off their 2026 campaign THIS THURSDAY at home against Emory Henry (Va.) University at Bazmore-Hyder Stadium.

And make no mistake: We wanna see the place PACKED!

But if you aren't able to get tickets before they sell out - or just can't make the game in person - we WILL be showing it LIVE here at the brewery.

The game kicks off at 7 pm and we'll be staying open late until the very end!

And ICYMI: All VSU faculty, staff, 21+ students and alumni can enjoy our All Hail Lager for $2 off each pour and 10% off all 6-packs to-go ALL 👏 SEASON 👏 LONG👏!

This is going to be an interesting opening game for VSU, which is coming off a 6-5 season in 2025 under head coach Graham Craig, who is entering his second year leading the Blazers' program after previously serving as the program's offensive coordinator. The 2026 team has several question marks, including who their starting QB will be and can they make a run to another D-II Championship? There's also the added issue of what will happen when the postseason rolls around and the Gulf South Conference Champ no longer has an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II playoffs. The GSC - a longtime powerhouse conference - is down to just 3 member schools: VSU, West Alabama and Delta State, meaning the teams no longer automatically qualify for Division II postseason championships. And that's a big deal considering six of the last nine national title games have featured a team from the GSC.

The opening matchup for VSU is also interesting because Emory & Henry is coming off one if its best seasons ever. They finished 8-3 overall and tied for 3rd in the South Atlantic Conference.

So it's a big game for both teams - Valdosta State has an early chance to show pollsters they're still a powerhouse program, while Emory & Henry will be looking to continue their momentum from last season.

Either way, Thursday can't get here soon enough! And we'll either see you at the stadium or here at the brewery! 🏈🍻
