Be prepared for the revised agency disclosure and confirmation process taking effect January 1, 2019. Overall, the changes are intended to simplify the agency disclosure process and make the agents’ roles more readily understood by the public. While the language changes, both in terms of referring to the agent and broker and the confirmation of agency, may take a bit of getting used to.
