Accountability matters. Integrity matters. Communication matters.

My wife and I recently went through one of the most disappointing and emotionally draining real estate experiences of our lives involving a new construction home at 45 Kingsland Avenue, Shirley, NY.

Here are the facts:
• Our offer was accepted
• Contracts were drafted
• Our signed contract and deposit were delivered
• We were told in writing that ex*****on was imminent

Then communication stopped.

No returned calls.
No answered texts.
No email responses even from attorneys.

I’m not just the buyer I’m also a licensed real estate agent. I understand deals fall apart. That’s business.

What should never happen is silence after assurances are made and relied upon especially when a family is involved.

Because of how this was handled by:
• Billy Molinaro / LakeShore Homes Inc. (Seller/Builder)
• Lynn Deeg (Coldwell Banker – Listing Agent)
• Curtis Morrison & office (Seller’s Attorney)

I had to explain to my children why we would not be moving into the home we told them would be ours. My wife was left emotionally devastated not because the deal didn’t work out, but because of the lack of professionalism and communication.

Still, let me be clear:

My family is favored. God has us.
What didn’t work out will only make room for something greater and better aligned.

This post is about accountability not bitterness.

Families deserve better.
Communication is not optional.

Tip:
