The Kerrs would love to sell you their house! I personally have called this neighborhood home and have missed my neighbors and trees- but let me share a little bit about what they have loved about their home:)

“We built this home as our first home 13 years ago before we got married. We loved the layout, how open it was, and that we had room to grow our family. We loved the location and the small feel of the neighborhood.

We LOVE the nature in the neighborhood. There are tons of deer and beautiful birds. The trees change with the seasons and are absolutely gorgeous in the fall.

We love the proximity you have to everything. The north side of town has started to grow and provides quick or sit down dining options, some shopping (Bass Pro, Dollar General), and the new ice rink. It is very close to the beach and The Dunes for outdoor activities. The toll road and 94 are also close allowing access to travel to surrounding areas especially Chicago. We love the splash pad and Founders Square area where they have the farmers market, movies on the square, and a nice baseball complex. “

And closing number #2! The absolute sweetest and funniest clients to have worked with over the past few months closed on their home of 20 years today! And they will be walking distance from me so I plan on checking on them often;)

They had asked me how will they make this sale work with needing to have extra close time and post possession close? I said we price it correctly, we market it, and we pick the right buyer and negotiate to get exactly what we need. Voila! And another we fantastic buyer to hand the keys over to! What a great day!

Closing # 1 today! After a long weekend… On a Tuesday that feels like a Monday… We sold The Smiths first home and gave the keys to a young couple who may just grow their family there:) I am sad tho because now I won’t get to talk to them as much. I’ve really gotten to know this sweet family since I helped with a buy and now a sell- SO, I told them they are now friends so they can’t disappear on me and have to come drink bourbon at my house!

The home with the beautiful windows is SOLD! Story time! I got a call from my clients who had met me at an open house about a year ago. My listing ended up not being for them after inspection. They ended up finding another home on their own and then fast forward to this summer they called me to list their home in Chesterton!

The home had some important updates but needed a little love and wanted to sell as is. It was also only 2 bedroom with a loft. We strategically priced it to draw interest and received an offer that didn't quite meet our needs. I held off a bit and glad we waited because the offer we really wanted came just a few days later. While I often think the first offer will be your strongest - I could tell from reviewing we could still do better. And we did!

Another surprise came during inspection which we were able to still negotiate a successful closing they were very happy with! And at the closing table we knew these first time home buyers were meant for this home because they looked at 25 homes before and wanted to keep a lot of the original charm!
