Our residents had such a lovely day out! We visited the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum to admire the vintage cars. Later, we enjoyed a meal at the OCC Road House & Museum and happened to meet Paul Teutul Sr. The group even snapped a wonderful photo with him! What a truly delightful surprise.

We always try to find something unique for our weekly outings here at Osprey Heights! We recently went to see the Chihuly Collection in St. Petersburg! Residents walked around numerous larger than life displays of hand blown glass and even got to see a video of Dale Chihuly brainstorming his designs and making them into the exact pieces we saw in the museum! It was a immersive experience for our group and everyone went home with some amazing photos.

One thing about the residents at Osprey Heights, is that they have a big heart! We spent our Wednesday making care packages for the homeless! We made an assembly line and worked together as a team to create over 50 packages to donate! These packages include essentials like shampoo & conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste, combs, deodorant wipes, and some more Florida specific necessities like hydration tablets and cooling packs. Our team worked super efficiently and made those 50+ packs in under 10 minutes! Go Osprey Heights!

One special highlight of our community is our garden area! Not only do we grow our own veggies that are utilized in our scratch kitchen, but we help our native ecosystem with our butterfly section! In this section there are multiple different plants that cater to Florida's natural pollinators! Keeping these pollinators happy also benefits our vegetables! We have many different types of flowers that help our population of honey bees and we have milkweed plants within the midst to contribute to the monarch butterfly population. The best part- this whole garden is resident managed! Community members make such an amazing garden possible! If you ever come for a visit at Osprey Heights, make sure you don't miss this sight!
