Henry & Sam just finished (last week) their first indoor soccer league at and what a blast! The VW Goal Diggers finished 6-0 in the regular season then won (2) playoff games to take home the CHAMPIONSHIP! Coach and I got rings as well....can't lie, I wore mine around for a few days haha

Coaching this group of boys over the past, nearly 5 months straight, has been a total blast!! Hoping they all stick with the sport!!

The end of my first Indoor Soccer season. So grateful to have been able to play...especially with no real injuries! It's been well over a decade since I played competitively. Thanks for the ask Shad!

Each game was 50 minutes, and this is how most post-game evenings ended for me haha
50 minutes of game time =
35 minutes of play time =
90 minutes of recovery time hahaha

Really enjoyed playing goalie WAY more than expected AND finally able to put up a goal in the last game

I typically injure my lower back every 6-9 months (sciatica & piriformis). I don't stretch adequately. The injury seems to typically surface (especially) as I increase weekly mileage over 25 or 30 miles (prolonged). So frustrating!

I had another incident on 10-20. It would normally take me 7-10 days to get back to 100%. However, I caught it early this time. I normally use chiropractic & massage therapy BUT this time I used & it was game changer! GAME CHANGER!! Dr. Gardner at Fuerst Family Chiropractic was amazing. Needling will be a future constant for me.

I wouldn't be able to run much at all after a back injury, maybe 10 miles a week (slowly). I was still able to grind out 30.2 miles this past week...but it was only because of Dr. Gardner! I'm not 100% but pretty close!

1. 7.5 miles never felt better...prepping for a December race
2. Sounders last game of the season (0-0 tie but a fabulous game)
3. I could eat hot dogs for every meal!
4. Can't put this book down!
