Behind all these celebrations were promises from the United States for the establishment of free and democratic governments. If some do not remember the 1979 revolution, at the very least, it would be wise for them to take a moment to study what became of those countries ، Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Tunisia, and dozens of others ، that once placed their hopes in U.S. promises of independent and popular rule.
