One of the biggest misconceptions I’m seeing right now is that the market has “slowed down.” I will admit, it's a word I have used but that isn't real accurate.
The reality? It hasn’t slowed—it’s become more selective.
According to recent data from the Northwest Multiple Listing Service, buyers are still active—but they’re making more intentional decisions.
That’s leading to two very different outcomes:
• Homes that are priced and prepared well are still selling quickly
• Homes that miss the mark are sitting—and often requiring price adjustments
This is exactly why strategy matters so much right now.
The difference between a smooth, successful sale and a frustrating experience often comes down to how well things are positioned from the start.
