I couldn't be happier for this wonderful mom of two who was able to close this chapter in WA and start fresh in a new state. It's always bittersweet when people leave - Roxy did so many amazing things for her community while she was here and I know a lot of people (myself included) already miss her. That said, she and her two boys are with their tribe of family members and are already making great memories in CA. Wishing you the very best, Roxy! I had the opportunity to check out some incredible homes in the Nob Hill neighborhood yesterday! It was fascinating to see how different architectural styles were incorporated while diving deeper into Portland's history. As a special bonus, we were invited to tour the William Temple House (check out the fossils on the face of the fireplace!).

The longer you look at each photo, the more intricate details you see!

At this point in the year, we're seeing a story of stability. The average sales price ($618,500) for Portland Metro, 2026 compared to 2025 year to date, is basically the same. It's not super sexy, but that's ok!

Closed sales increased 8% over July 2025, but decreased from June 2026 numbers by 4%. This June to July downward trend is a common seasonal theme heading into these traditionally quieter few months as folks get the most out of summer weather before heading back to school and work.

These last days of summer are a great time to be a Buyer in the Portland Metro Area. Buyers who manage to find homes they like will often pay less at this time of year compared to spring prices. Sellers will find an educated and no-nonsense Buyer audience, committed to closing the sale.
