Every home sale has a story, and this one was especially meaningful.
I recently had the privilege of helping a client sell his longtime home—a 1970s fixer-upper situated on a nearly quarter-acre corner lot with no HOA or CCR restrictions.
When we first started working together, he was facing foreclosure and at risk of losing the equity he had worked so hard to build over the years. Together, we developed a plan, got the home on the market, and successfully sold it before that happened.
But my job didn't stop at the sale.
We coordinated moving plans, arranged junk removal, secured storage options, and utilized an escrow holdback so these services could be completed without requiring money upfront. My goal was to make what could have been an overwhelming transition a little less stressful and help him move forward with confidence.
Helping people navigate life's challenges is one of the reasons I love being a REALTOR®. Sometimes it's about buying or selling a house, and sometimes it's about helping someone through a major life transition and connecting them with the right resources along the way.
I'm grateful I was able to help this client protect his equity, move on to the next chapter, and get a fresh start.
If you or someone you know is considering selling and isn't sure where to start, I'd be happy to talk through the options and create a plan that works for your situation.
