Prom was Under the Sea this year, and it definitely made waves here at Springwood Landing! From the luminescent jellyfish on the ceiling to the upbeat Ne Plus Ultra Jass Orchestra quartet, our dance was a splashing success.

Last week we held our International Food Festival! We not only had classic bites from different countries, but different musicians as well! Jason Okamoto strummed us Brazilian tunes on his guitar, and an ensemble played us classical selections from around the world!

Our Dessert Extravaganza was a smashing success. So many sweet treats. Who knew that soup could be a dessert? Of course, Santa was there with Mrs. Claus for pictures and dueling harp players provided a perfect background to a lovely afternoon.

It was magic when Chef Justin made it snow over our Gingerbread Tree Farm. The lights twinkling on the barn and over the trees created a magical scene. Come and see it in person; it smells as good as it looks!

We could not be prouder of our Gingerbread creation this year. We chose to bake a Christmas tree farm complete with trees, lights, and a big red barn with horses and hay bales around back. We had so much fun creating all the parts and seeing it come together. You can see it in person at our Dessert Extravaganza on December 12th at 2 - 4pm. Hope to see you there!

We hosted a Soup and Potato Bar this week. It was hard to say what was the bigger hit, the Pumpkin Bisque or our surprise guest, Mr. Potato Head!

We had a fabulous Halloween celebration this year! Our staff and culinary team created a haunted dessert room as a treat for the residents. Special thanks to Vanessa, our overnight concierge, who hung the creepy decorations. Enjoy the video!

It was Senior Night at the Camas vs Union Friday night football game. Virginia Warren and Pat Forgey were the most senior cheerleaders at the football game. Virginia was the Drum Majorette for Camas High when she graduated in 1942. Pat was a cheerleader when she graduated 4 years later. They were the honored guests at Friday night's game and showed the Camas fans what spirit is all about!
