Let me tell you a story about patience, great timing, and grit.

This young couple was referred to me by an amazing colleague, Allie Seifert several years ago. They were looking to relocate back to the PNW to be near family and start one of their own. After years of looking for just the right house, that special gem, it finally happened. The perfect home finally hit the market. It checked all the boxes!

Wins like these make all the hard work worth it. This family now has something to call their own, and all it took was a little bit of patience, a touch of good timing, and the grit to see it through to the end.

Wins like these take a little extra elbow grease some times!

It is such a privilege and an honor to work with the same clients multiple times. These awesome sellers sold a house with me years ago, and when it came time to hit the market again, they reached out. We took a look at the house together and started to make a plan.

When you hire a professional Realtor, you're not just getting someone who will snap a couple photos and throw them up on the MLS, you're adding someone to your team that is a subject matter expert! You're bringing in someone who is going to see your home through the eyes of potential buyers, and then help you craft a strategy to get you the very best outcome you can when you list.

We walked through several options for updates and settle on a few key projects that would get them the highest return when selling. After that was finished and we added a lot of elbow grease, the house was polished up and ready to go. My team came in to get everything staged, we hit the ground running with top tier marketing, and sure enough -- we were looking at a multiple offer scenario. At the end of the day, my clients walked away with $20,000 over asking and $70,000 more than their closest comparable.

This is the true power of team work and the magic of some extra elbow grease. I am so excited that we got to bring home the win for these clients, and thrilled to see them embark on their next chapter.

First impressions matter! So having a home that looks inviting from the outside can dramatically help when selling your home. If you're preparing to list, and looking for a few ways to spruce up your house without breaking the bank, start here.

1. House numbers - the style, color, and size of your house numbers can impact the overall feel of the style of your home. Consider house numbers with a contrasting color to your house so that they stand out from the street.

2. Wash your windows. I know it sounds simple, but washing your windows (inside and out) helps your home sparkle and shine instead of showing off the dust and grime they've accumulated over time.

3. Tidy up the landscaping - Most of the time you don't need a complete overhaul of your landscaping. A well trimmed and edged lawn can go a long way in presenting your home in the best possible light when selling. Be sure to clear out any weeds, tackle the overgrown shrubs and bushes, and trim back flowers that have crept onto walkways.

As a Realtor, I've learned to adapt as the chaos happens. Sometimes, unexpected issues pop up at the last minute. In this case, my client had a pipe burst in their kitchen right after they signed the last of the papers. It could have been a disaster, but instead, we were able to come up with a solution, get it taken care of, and keep everything relatively on track. It's not by chance, it's on purpose! I work like crazy to make sure that my clients get the very best of me as an agent, and I will always strive to overdeliver on this expectation.
