Today was an EPIC day! Long post warning, by the way.

My Sellers (keeping their names private) closed on the sale of their family home! Custom built 35 years ago, their dad designed (with a builder, of course) every corner, every faucet, every staircase, every room. . .as a testament to his love for their mom! Many amazing family memories were made here, & I was so fortunate to meet this family 3 years ago & get to hear so many of the stories! As we made our plan for selling this house, determined the timeline & steps, I got to know the owners & came to love them dearly! We took our time getting some remodeling projects on the house completed, and l was able to help them make wise updates, but made sure to leave some fun projects for the new Buyers to do! As the family began to empty the house, they were able to take their time going through a lifetime of family furnishings & possessions, allowing them to not feel rushed! My kids & I helped them pack, sort, move stuff to storage, and just did our best to relieve them of the looming overwhelm. Downsizing & moving out of a house you've lived in for that many years can be a daunting & emotionally draining task, so helping ease that was really important to me!

After all of the remodeling projects were completed at the end of January this year, it was time to clean and stage, take photos, landscape the 5 acres, and get this baby to market! We had started the 1st of the projects in April of 2023 after we finally had the house mostly empty. Work began with the restoration of the clay tile roof, then new paint, new carpeting, then a rebuild to a stucco wall, new windows, upgraded kitchen, completely remodeled primary bathroom, new lighting & some upgraded plumbing are just a few of the projects we took on. My team helped me clean the house from top to bottom afterwards, polishing all of the custom wood. Then came staging & decor, and listing photos. We listed in mid-March of this year, and had a VERY busy Open House, complete with a delicious charcuterie spread and mimosas. I could NOT have carried all of this off with out the help of ALL of my friends. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you! I am a lucky, lucky girl to have such supportive people in my corner!

It was an honor and a privilege to represent these Sellers, and to bring this sale of their beloved family dream home to a smooth, albeit long close. After 7 months (and 1 day) on the market, the Buyers' Agent and I were able to tie everything up with a bow on it today!

I called my Sellers to give them the good news, then headed home to meet Sam's lovely new girlfriend. . . and she brought me flowers! Then we popped open some champagne and toasted the successful closing of my biggest transaction ever!
