A big reason you see so much wildlife here is that the course sits right next to Myakka State Forest, so it still has a much more natural feel than most courses in this part of Florida. Now, there is some change coming homes are currently being built along the backside of the course, so I won't sit here and tell you there are none around it. But a lot of 𝗠𝘆𝗮𝗸𝗸𝗮 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 still feels open, quiet, and connected to the land around it. That's what makes it stand out to me. It still feels like old Florida, not just a neighborhood with a fairway running through it.

Downtown Venice food review at Made in Italy! 🍝🧀 We tried the pasta, mozzarella sticks, meatballs, and fettuccine alfredo and the ratings did not disappoint. Cheesy pulls, soft succulent mozz sticks, and a meatball combo that broke the scale.

⭐ Pasta: 9/10
⭐ Mozzarella Sticks: 10/10 (and 9/10, and another 10/10)
⭐ Meatball + Mozzarella Stick Combo: 11/10
⭐ Fettuccine Alfredo: 8.5/10 (and 13/10 on round two!)

If you're looking for the best Italian food in Venice, this spot delivers.
