Four Weeks of Giving concludes this week!

This December, our four agents in the Vergennes office were honored to come together to create Four Weeks of Giving.
Each week, we have highlighted and supported a local organization whose work strengthens our Addison County community. We chose four truly remarkable groups—each making a meaningful difference right here at home.

For our final week, we had a wonderful time shopping for The Commodore Club. This is an organization serving a critical need right here in Vergennes: providing a safe, supportive afterschool environment for kids in Grades 5-12. They have expanded their offerings to include a pantry from which kids can help themselves to food and snacks to bring home as well as basic hygiene supplies.

It was so wonderful to visit the Commodore Club in person and see the excitement of the kids enjoying spending time there.

Four Weeks of Giving continues on with week three!

This December, our four agents in the Vergennes office are honored to come together to create Four Weeks of Giving.
Each week, we’re spotlighting and supporting a local organization whose work strengthens our Addison County community. We’ve chosen four truly remarkable groups—each making a meaningful difference right here at home.

This week we visited and shopped for John Graham Housing and Services. This is an organization with a mission near and dear to our hearts: housing! They provide emergency shelter services as well as long-term housing and related support services. The John Graham Shelter in Vergennes is the only emergency shelter for families with children in Addison County. They do all this work with kindness, care, and a smile.

Our week two recipient is Age Well!

Age Well does incredibly valuable work across northwestern Vermont, including Addison County. You may know them best for their meal services (both Meals on Wheels and Community Meals!) but did you know they also provide a vast array of other social services? They help seniors stay in their homes safely, provide wellness classes, Medicare counseling, and more!

This week, we had the pleasure of joining Age Well participants for a community lunch. It was such a joy to chat with them and enjoy a lunch together.

Age Well is in need of volunteers in a wide variety of capacities. If you have time to contribute to this incredible organization, please consider volunteering in the new year!
