Raised in Boston and Maine, her father worked tug boats in Boston Harbor and her family summered each year in a traditional cottage on the ocean. Maude was in a boat or in the water almost every day. Her mother even lived in a lighthouse for a time where her grandfather was the lighthouse keeper! Visiting a friend in Vero Beach, Maude and her husband Greg knew a seaside jewel when they saw it, and purchased their winter residence here in 2000. They have loved boating and fishing from their Moorings residence, and later from their Genesea Lane home. Greg Wright is also a life-long waterman, Captain of a large fishing trawler working in the Bering Sea. Greg grew up in Maine and caught his first lobster when he was 10. Together, he and Maude have been living a coastal life together for over 45 years. They have raised three amazing daughters, great sailors themselves!
