👋 Hi, I’m Natalie Jenkins, owner of Carpe Diem Inspections.
If you’ve met me before, you may have noticed I’m not exactly what most people expect when they think of a home inspector—and that’s okay!
As a 4th-generation transplant raised in Vero Beach, construction has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up around my family’s construction company and gained hands-on experience with roofing, plumbing, septic systems, property management, and more before becoming a licensed home inspector. Today, I bring more than 30 years of construction experience to every inspection.
I also built my own home alongside my father, a general contractor. That experience taught me patience, problem-solving, and the importance of doing things the right way—and it sparked my passion for helping others better understand their homes.
The name Carpe Diem Inspections has a special meaning to me. After unexpectedly losing one of my best friends years ago, I realized how important it is to make every day count. “Carpe Diem” means “Seize the Day,” and that philosophy continues to guide both my life and my business.
My husband Derek and I have been married since 2016, and we’re raising two amazing kids here on the Treasure Coast. When I’m not inspecting homes, you’ll usually find me at the baseball field, beach, or enjoying time outdoors with my family.
