“Smart Snack” workshop presented by Registered Dietitian Jennifer Kozaczek, who graciously volunteered her time to engage with the residents at Naomi’s Place.

During the workshop, Ms. Kozaczek shared a Smart Snack chart and facilitated an interactive activity with the participating residents. Residents worked in pairs to create three healthy snack options based on the information provided in the chart. They also explained the nutritional category of each ingredient, including fiber, healthy fats, and protein.

The interaction among the guest speaker, residents, and staff was very positive and encouraging. The residents actively participated and demonstrated enthusiasm throughout the activity. Additionally, the residents expressed their gratitude to Treasure Coast Homeless Services Council for providing the supplies and continued support for activities that promote their health and well-being.
