Congratulations to my client on successfully purchasing her home! My client was looking to buy her first home in the sub $350,000 price range while remaining within Madison. Along with this, she wanted a standalone single family home that she could move in right away and update over time. With the rapid increase in Madison’s prices over the last five years, homes that fit these criteria have been somewhat limited.

After a few months of patience, my client was able to beat out competing offers and secure an accepted offer in a convenient and desirable neighborhood with value-add potential. Additionally, we were able to get the home within her budget for under the appraised value and negotiate an additional $5,000 seller credit prior to closing!

When not dealing with real estate, my client enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her dog. Congratulations again, and thank you for the opportunity!!!

As many of you know, word of mouth and reviews are a big driving force of a realtor’s career, so I’m very appreciative of any positive support I get. I believe reviews are a unique way to gauge how well a realtor did their job for two reasons:

1. Reviews are optional at the end of the day, so most people will only fill out a review if they either had a really great or poor experience.

2. If someone not only takes the time to give a review, but goes to the extent to write a lengthy one, then I feel it is a direct testament to the amount of work a realtor put in on their behalf (in most cases). This is a super meaningful gesture that needs to be considered because it directly reflects the type of realtor you will be working with.

As always, there are plenty of solid realtors out there, but it’s finding the ones who will really make an impact on the success, process, and lives of their clients during their real estate journey that makes the difference. I take great pride with how I treat people and go about conducting business, and this is translated to my clients and then some!

Congratulations to Kevin and Brigid on successfully buying their home on Lake Mendota! After living in Ann Arbor for many years, Kevin and Brigid decided to relocate to Madison due to exciting job changes within their respective fields, which also marked a homecoming for Kevin, who grew up in the Madison area.

Kevin and Brigid’s search was oriented around close proximity to downtown to remain walkable to all the amenities and have an easy commute to work. Although Kevin had some familiarity with Madison neighborhoods, Brigid was new to the unique feel and character each neighborhood had to offer. Because of this, the start of our search consisted of neighborhood tours whenever they were able to make weekend trips to Madison.

Neighborhoods like Shorewood, Vilas, Hillington Green, Dudgeon-Monroe, and Nakoma are all stunning areas that meet the “close to downtown” criteria, but having a local expert who understands the unique personalities and architectural characteristics of each neighborhood is how you truly find the right fit. After a few months of touring both off-market and on-market listings, we found this beautiful property that we knew was the perfect fit. Congratulations to Collin and Tori on purchasing their home! Working with Collin and Tori was a reminder on why you get into real estate. Collin and I went to high school together but because he was a few grades above me, we naturally became less connected as life got busier. While playing sports together, Collin was always incredibly inclusive and positive as an upperclassman, so, when the opportunity presented itself to help him and his wife, Tori, purchase their first home, it was extremely rewarding to return the gesture by helping them reach this milestone. It was so cool to see Collin more frequently during this new stage of life, while also having the opportunity to meet Tori, who was nice as can be and very witty!

They were very intentional about their real estate goals, specifically wanting to be in a family home in the DeForest area. This didn’t lead to many listings worth considering, and for the properties that did come up, competition was apparent. However, Collin and Tori remained patient, which ultimately led to their very first offer being accepted sight unseen. They were able to secure this amazing home before it hit the market with relatively normal contingencies and even purchased it below the appraised value, adding to the excitement!

When not dealing with real estate, Collin and Tori enjoy cheering on Wisconsin sports teams, being active, spending time with their family, and playing with their dog, Dove. Congratulations again, and thank you for the opportunity!!!
