🔥 Beat the Heat, Stay Safe 🔥

Extreme heat can turn dangerous fast, especially for children, older adults, and pets. Take simple steps to stay safe: drink plenty of water, limit time outdoors during peak afternoon hours, wear light clothing, and never leave people or pets in a parked vehicle.

Check on neighbors, stay in air conditioning when possible, and know the signs of heat exhaustion like dizziness, nausea, or heavy sweating.

Hot days are no joke. Plan ahead, stay cool, and take care of each other.

JERSEY MIKE'S SUBS BRINGING NEW LOCATION TO VICTORIA

Jersey Mike's Subs is expanding its footprint in Victoria County, preparing to open a new location in Victoria. The popular fast-casual sub sandwich chain, known for its freshly sliced, premium quality meat and cheese, as well as bread baked fresh daily, will be setting up shop at 7804 Navarro St. within Suite 200. The project involves a $145,350 investment for the interior build-out of an existing 1,938-square-foot shell building in a retail center. The tenant improvement will include completely new architectural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical features to outfit the space for the new brand.

Construction on the new sandwich spot is scheduled to kick off this fall on September 1, 2026, with a target completion date set for the end of the year on December 31, 2026.
