Last night's School Board meeting included a special recognition of three outstanding community partners as part of the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) Business Honor Roll. We are grateful for their continued commitment to supporting our students, staff, and schools.

🏆 Lunenburg Chamber of Commerce--
Honored for promoting school events, donating time to support mock interviews and the Career Expo, and working collaboratively with the Student Chamber of Commerce to create meaningful opportunities for students.

Recognized for generously volunteering time and financial resources for the Playhouse Auction, participating annually in the Career Expo, teaching real estate courses at the high school, conducting mock interviews, attending CTE Advisory Board meetings, and serving as co-advisor to the Student Chamber of Commerce.

Recognized for mentoring culinary students, serving as a guest speaker, providing students with valuable learning opportunities, hosting culinary lessons at his Richmond business, and offering event planning guidance and hands-on experiences.

🎶 Thank You to The Smyth Group! 🎶

At last night's School Board meeting, The Smyth Group generously donated $3,000 to the Central High School Music Department. The donation was presented by Mr. Sid Smyth in support of our student musicians and music program.

This contribution will help enhance music education opportunities for CHS students and provide valuable resources that enrich their learning experiences. Support from community partners like The Smyth Group helps ensure our students have opportunities to grow their talents, develop their skills, and pursue their passions.

We are grateful to The Smyth Group and Mr. Smyth for their continued commitment to Lunenburg County Public Schools and for investing in the success of our students.

🏡 First Home. New Chapter. Equity Building Begins.

One of my favorite parts of real estate is helping first-time buyers navigate the journey to homeownership, and my wonderful clients recently did just that in South Hill, VA!

They were referred to me by an out-of-area agent, but if I didn't know any better, I would have thought they'd been following my first-time buyer advice for months. They came to me already pre-approved with their lender of choice and, perhaps even more importantly, they had taken the time to really think through what they wanted in a home. They knew which features mattered most, what areas would and wouldn't work for their lifestyle, and why.

Because they had done that important groundwork upfront, we were able to dial in our search immediately. In fact, we found "the one" and submitted an offer on just the second home we toured together!

No real estate transaction is completely without a few twists and turns -- but that's what I'm here for! There were some minor bumps along the way, but my clients stayed calm, trusted the process, and together we successfully navigated every curveball that came our way.

Now they're settling into their very first home, creating new memories, and building equity with every mortgage payment.
