1 of 3 small ponds and 2 miles of fence line we cleared on our current project. It is hard to take out those massive oak trees but they gotta go so the fence crew can blow and go!

A small pond job we dug last week. This thing was put in with autograde and is level within 1/2” all the way around. I cant wait to see it full! Now out of Yorktown and into Goliad for another 3 ponds!

What a great opportunity we had to straighten up such a beautiful place. This job was laid out for temporary construction. When I first went to look at it I had to put my truck in 4wd to get out. They trusted our judgment to go in there and create drainage from the subgrade all the way to the top. We moved out nearly 3,000 cu yds to achieve a .5% fall everywhere. Then topped that with 6” of limestone and finished it off with 3” of asphalt Millings. We dug and cleaned ditches, set culverts, built roads, repaired roads, mixed 15 pallets of hydrated lime into the Arena to improve the quality of the soil and get a good base then topped it with 4” of a topsoil of their choice and had a great time doing it. Thanks to Hayden with Quality Haulers and Greg Goodner for hauling in all the base for us. It was a fun job but as of today it’s off to the next one!

We haven’t posted anything in awhile. This is a few projects we have been working on in Shiner. All 3 are neighbors so it worked out really well. The first job we did was establish drainage for a 150’x150’ area where horse traps and a horse barn are going to be installed. We moved the dirt from a nearby pond to build up 4’ on the lower side of the area to match the high side. The second property we cut, sprayed and stacked all huisatche to open up a 40 acre property. It was so thick that the owners hadn’t seen their back fence in years. By saving all the desirable trees and taking out the trash trees it looks like a park now. The third property wanted a 100’x100’ flattened out for their future homesite. We used our laser equipment to trim off their terraces, and we used that material to put a .5% slope on this pad to still allow for slow drainage. Pictures don’t do much justice but it was nearly 9’ of fill on the lower end. We put 4:1 slopes all around so that it would be easy and safe to maintain. With all the rain we have had it all held up and worked flawlessly!

Phase 1 almost knocked out with the Sitework for the new storage facility by Burnett Customs. The weather has been a nightmare but these guys make it look easy! Thanks for the work and as always it’s a pleasure working with you guys!

A little video of some dirt work we are doing in Goliad right now. We cut nearly 5 acres to a 1% fall with a road and parking lot integrated into the plan. Smartgrade Technology makes our job a whole lot easier compared to the way we have always done it before! The best part is the customer is in a buy once cry once situation. Now they can do their future expansions like they planned with no drainage issues! More pics and videos to come!

Took the linkbelt on a little field trip today. Unfortunately we had to pull up some of these beautiful oak trees for the perfect placement of one of our customers future homesite!
