Watch for these rental scam red flags:
• 💰 Rent that seems too good to be true
• 🚫 A “landlord” who won’t meet you or show the property
• 💸 Requests to wire money, send gift cards, or pay before viewing
• 🔑 Pressure to send a deposit immediately to “hold” the property
• 📱 Someone claiming they’re out of town and can’t meet you
• 🏠 A listing with photos or information copied from another property
• 📄 No legitimate application, lease, or rental agreement
• ⚠️ Requests for sensitive personal information before you’ve verified who you’re dealing with

Before you pay: Verify the property, verify who you’re dealing with, tour the home when possible, read the lease, and get receipts for payments.
