A longtime favorite restaurant of many in the area, Blue Pete's (off of N Muddy Creek Rd) is a truly unique spot! Along with their great local seafood, the atmosphere is hard to beat. You can enjoy your meal while looking out over the water and through the trees on their creekside deck. It is definitely worth a try!

As we move into warmer weather and people begin to spend more time on the beach, a question that I frequently get is about the legality of fires on the sand. Unlike some other areas, Virginia Beach does not permit fires directly on the beach (even where camping is permitted like at False Cape).

If you are interested in sitting by a fire while watching the waves roll in, there are some wonderful waterfront homes available for sale or rent where you can sit by a fire pit on your very own slice of paradise. Give me a call, and we will find you one!

One great way to enjoy our area is with a bit of beach camping! False Cape State Park offers camping both directly on the beach and under some awesome gnarled trees just beyond the dunes. It is absolutely beautiful and really worth giving a try!

Living at the beach can be a dream come true! However, there is some additional home maintenance that comes with living so close to the ocean. It is a good idea to have your home annually cleaned by a power washing company, but this is especially important when you take into account the barrage of salt and sand that a beach home encounters. Making sure it is regularly cleaned will extend the life of both your siding and windows, protecting your investment in both!
