Having the right REALTOR behind you is šŸ’Æ important! You will need their guidance and expertise on what strategies to put into your offer.

Strategy is a must when looking to buy a home in a low inventory situation. Here in Va Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk it’s still very much a sellers market.

If you want a ā€œdealā€, more than likely you’re going to have to compromise on a fully move in ready home.

If you desire a gorgeous, already renovated home, then more than likely you’re going to be up against other offers and you’ll need to put multiple strategies into play - and even then it may not be enough.

If you think you don’t need to prep your house prior to putting it on the market…you are leaving $$ on the table.

Everyone needs a real estate professional to guide them on what improvements to make before listing their home.

It takes extra time and some $$ but every time my clients say how incredibly WORTH WHILE it all was to get their home looking it’s best!

The traffic through to see the home once on the market AND the fabulous offer(s) that come are proof that details matter.

Don’t scrimp on prepping your biggest asset BEFORE putting your home on the market.

Your realtor should be able to guide you on what to do - what not to do - and coordinate with all of the contractors from start to finish.

The BIG question…Is it really important to improve your home before listing??

šŸ’Æ YES!!!

Get the moss power washed off the deck and siding!

Clean out the leaves (and plants 😳) stuffed into your gutters!

Have fresh mulch put down, perhaps some fresh annuals and if necessary pull out the things that need to go!

Fix the little things you’re already aware of, that you just lived with - but ABSOLUTELY need to do PRIOR to listing!

Now, there has to be a cut off at some point, more than likely you can’t do everything, BUT a solid real estate professional can help you narrow down to the most important areas to tackle. šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø
