🤩 Meet Jenese! 👋
My Real Estate Career
1. How long have you been in real estate?
Technically, just getting started. A few years ago, I obtained my license - the first time - but I didn’t really do any business… got pregnant and that was that. I’m newly licensed again as of last summer.
2. What inspired you to become a Realtor?
My husband invests in real estate, so I want to work with him in the business, and I love, love, love watching HGTV house hunters, and “love it or list it”...
3. What do you enjoy most about helping your clients?
At this point, it’s only been my husband, and I just like being able to work with him and support him in this way.
4. What has been your biggest career win or accomplishment?
Being able to get my REIN key working right at a property. You do not even realize…
5. What type of clients or properties do you most enjoy working with?
Again, my husband and at this point, multifamily, mostly duplexes
6. What's one piece of advice you'd give someone buying or selling a home?
Be patient.
7. How do you want people to remember you as a real estate agent?
Hopefully, as someone who is not as clumsy, scatterbrained, or disorganized as I can be right now…
8. What’s one thing your clients can always count on from you?
My husband knows that I keep to the schedule…if I say it, I try my best to get it done….eventually.

My Journey at Swell
1. How long have you been with Swell?
Near the beginning of this year…
2. What made you choose Swell?
So after being a part of another RE organization, I realized that it was becoming quite expensive, paying REIN dues, HRRA, the agency, and whatever else seemed to come up. It was just getting to be too much. I wanted to work with my husband, but I just kept spending money and wasn’t making any, and the focus had shifted to what I hadn’t gotten into the business to do anyway. I didn’t want to quit, but I didn’t know how to move forward with my goal and not have it be so expensive in the process. I was literally praying on the side of my bed, begging the Lord for guidance, and my phone pinged. I was like - Jesus? Is that you? It turned out to be Matt Langan, texting me about joining Swell. At first, from the questions he was asking, I was like - are you a real person, is this an angel, how did you get my number, and I’m thinking - how do you know what I was just thinking and praying about? It was so surreal, but from what he was telling me - everything about Swell Realty Co., which is everything I wanted, I just had to seize the moment. I pretty much moved my license and got started with Swell right away. Thanks Matt! and Carly Sarks (sp.) They helped me, and well, here I am.
3. What has been your favorite experience or career highlight since joining Swell? Working with Chan Daniels. She’s been a God send, really. Thanks, Chan!
4. What are you most proud of professionally?
Completing the course, passing the exam, and becoming a part of an agency that meets my RE needs. I’m glad/proud that I’ve been able to meet that goal.
5. Do you work independently or as part of a team?
Both… I show properties by myself, but I get help from Chan. I’ve taken Shonda’s (Sweet assist course), and I’ve messaged Julie extensively for help. Now, I’ve also enlisted Anne Asercion (sp) for help.
6. What's your favorite thing about being part of the Swell family?
Let me count the ways… It’s not expensive. I get the help I need. And I don’t feel guilty or experience undue pressure working at my own pace.
