When I started in real estate at 20 years old, I set a goal to have my own company by 25 years old. I had no idea how I was gonna do it, I had no idea what it would take. I just knew that’s what I wanted to do.

Starting in Real Estate, I was met with some pretty heavy criticism about how I carried myself (although I was being just me). They said I didn’t meet “professional standards” by my appearance, how I talked, etc. Many people told me I would have to change, that I couldn’t be true to myself if I was gonna last in this real estate industry. But I didn’t let it stop me. It just made me more determined to prove them wrong.

This morning, as I walked into my building, greeted my assistant, and settled into my corner office – with a pink durag on and Lil Baby playing out loud, I sat , kicked up my feet onto my new desk, and started typing this. Man, what a feeling. I will never say I made it, but this is the closest I have felt to it.

I couldn’t have done it without the support of those who believed in me. Your encouragement fueled my journey. I’m grateful for every comment, message, and referral – together, we’ve come a long way.
