Y'all. 22 Jump Street is 12 years old 😅

We have our own superstar Isle of Wight County Animal Services 🐾 He may not be *the* Channing Tatum, but his name is Jeff 🤷‍♀️

He's not one for paparazzi, but our dedicated volunteer snapped a view of his best sides! 📸

🛋 Jeff isn't used to the comfy couch life, but he's eager to learn!

Do you have space in your heart and home for Jeff? Apply online to foster or adopt!

IOWCAS offers foster to adopt! Meaning you can bring a dog home for a trial period, then decide if they're a good fit for your family! We send you home with everything you'll need, including food!

All applications can be found on the Isle of Wight County Animal Services website! Link in bio

~ Things to Do in Hampton Roads this Weekend ~

I hope everyone is having a good one today as we observe Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance in honor of the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Thank you to everyone who has served and sacrificed over the last 25 years since then.

The *20th Annual Taste of Suffolk Downtown Street Festival* is happening on Saturday from 11am to 5pm, with an After Party from 5pm to 8pm at Downtown Festival Park. This is one of Suffolk’s signature events and a lot of fun, with local restaurants serving signature dishes, vendor booths, regional live entertainment, contests, a children’s Fun Zone and a vehicle exhibition hosted by Main Street United Methodist Church. Admission is free, with great food and vendors selling their wares throughout. Road closures begin early Saturday morning and are expected to remain in place until about 7pm, so you may want to get there early!

*NashFest 757 Music & Food Festival* will bring some Music City energy to Town Point Park in Norfolk on Saturday from noon to 10pm. This free waterfront festival celebrates Nashville-style music, food and good times with hot chicken, barbecue, line dancing, craft beer, whiskey tastings and live performances from national and local talent. It's free and open to the public, so if you're looking for country sounds, good food and a lively crowd by the water, this one's for you.

*Neptune’s 29th Annual Fall Wine Festival* will take over 31st Street Park on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront today from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday from noon to 5pm. If this sounds familiar, it's because Virginia Beach has at least three wine festivals per year, with Neptune's being the longest running. Guests can sample more than 60 wines from Virginia wineries, enjoy live music, buy food from local food trucks and purchase wines by the bottle or case. Tickets are required and start at $40. This event is strictly 21 and over, including no children in carriers or strollers, and it's going to happen rain or shine.

Looking for a different vibe? *Buckroe Arts in the Park* will be held Saturday at Buckroe Beach Park in Hampton (Sunday is the backup rain date.) This outdoor, family-friendly market will give visitors a chance to shop work from local artists and craftsmen, enjoy food trucks, listen to music, and catch a breeze by the beach. That last part may be especially welcome with the humid forecast. Proceeds will go to benefit the Buckroe Improvement League's neighborhood improvement projects.

Have a great weekend!
