A little reminder to let me know how bad of a communicator I am. Also, a reminder of how many great people there are out there in the world.

So I DoorDash on the side for extra money. I am sitting at Buffalo wild wings and pick up a casual conversation with another sweet lady picking up an order for game day. We discussed the weather and just the normal things. Then outcomes an order of wings. She speaks about how good they smell. I say “ yeah I haven’t eaten yet today and when I pick up an order like this, it smells so good I know it’s time. “ I get my order and proceeded to my car, she follows me knocks on the window and hands me this box of fries. Confused in that moment, I say “no I’m fine don’t worry about it” but she insist so I simply say “thank you. “

What I realized is I may have accidentally led her to believe that I could not afford to eat. I simply frequently skip meals. I have food, I can buy food. This is actually just normal for me. Also, looking at the way, I often dress when door dashing, choosing tcomfort over looks, That I have completely missed all social cues.
More importantly, this woman was the sweetest woman, and her kindness and generosity did not go unnoticed. I had tears in my eyes, just thinking of the amount of kindness that was just shown to me.
