I used to hear “create the life you want” and think it meant I needed a whole new personality and a 47-step morning routine (and there’s no way I was doing any of that).

Turns out, it usually starts changing small things about your home:

– Rearranging a room so it actually works
– Turning the guest room into the gym you’ve been dreaming about
– Clearing the corner that’s been stressing you out for months
– Or finally admitting, “okay…we really do need more space.”

If you’re feeling that little tug toward a home that fits your life better, I’d love to help you figure out what that could look like. No pressure, just an honest conversation about what’s possible (and helping you make a plan that’s actually doable!)

This is a trend for millennials…2016!

The year Waylon was diagnosed with autism
The year I quit NCIS
The year I got my real estate license
The year I turned 40

A year of dark times. A year of bright times. A year that showed us we were unbreakable!

Also a year I had a side part and was in desperate need of microbladed eyebrows ( come get your girl)!😂😂

I was thinking about something a client said to me last month then I realize I actually think about it a lot.

I was helping a family buy a home and sell theirs simultaneously and the timeline got a little pressured BECAUSE they loved the first house we looked at😍

Soooo...offer, ratification and mad dash to prepare their current home for market in hopes to sell before or at least within the week of the purchase😅

Oh wait...did I forget to mention it was right before Christmas, they both work full-time, have a toddler and the wife is pregnant😳

As we are going along and I am doing what I do...handling matters that may become an issue, organizing contractors, inspections, paperwork, timeline management, etc...the wife says to me. “You are like a doula, but for real estate! Just taking care of everything…logistics of course, but also support, education and emotions”!

You guys...if that wasn’t the BIGGEST compliment I have ever gotten then I don’t know what is!

So I am basically a doula for homes 🏡💁🏻‍♀️

I don’t buy or sell the house for you—
I guide you through the process,
explain what’s happening,
advocate for your best interests,
and help you stay calm during a big life transition.

Buying or selling a home can be emotional, overwhelming, and full of unknowns. My job is to support you, prepare you, and help bring your next chapter into the world with as little stress as possible 🤍

And that is something to be proud of!

We may not be close to the mountains in Virginia Beach, but 73° in January has me questioning my winter wardrobe and my responsibilities.

Walk at the beach then drinks anyone??

It’s a unique kind of stress when your sense of “home” is actually someone else’s investment strategy. 🏠🔑

One day you’re hanging pictures and finally feeling settled, and the next, you get the “we need to talk” text from your landlord. Suddenly, your life is measured in 60-day notices and weekend showings.

The instability of renting is real. You can be the perfect tenant—pay on time, keep the place spotless, even fix the leaky faucet yourself—and it still doesn’t guarantee a roof over your head next month. When the market peaks or the owner decides to cash out, your sanctuary becomes a “listing.”

It’s hard to build a life on shifting sand. Sending love to everyone currently navigating the “For Sale” signs and frantic apartment hunting.

How are we feeling about the rental market lately? Let’s vent in the comments. 👇

2025 was a year full of small changes that resulted in big improvements in my life. As I step into 2026, I hope to add more things to my “stopped” and “started” lists. My goal for the year is to stop playing small and start playing to my full potential at work and at home.

What are you stopping and starting this year?
