Interest rates have been steady for a year and the market is becoming stagnant. Something's got to give. Either rates drop, prices drop or perhaps the current administration puts a freeze on capital gains for a period of time. Something's got to give. Atkinson Realty

According to this week's Primary Mortgage Market Survey from Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage showed little movement, remaining within the same narrow range for the fourth consecutive week.

Certainly a market shift. More sellers than buyers, however, rates are still around 7% and prices are still strong. Homes under 500K are also still going under contract quickly. Call to discuss more. Atkinson Realty

REIN data found that during the month of May, a new record high median sales price was set for homes sold across Hampton Roads, while inventory reached its highest level in nearly five years.
