Congratulations to and our clients!

This one was SPECIAL, Martha met Cristian and Genesis through a previous client, her son Tony! She qualified for a special program from the Norfolk Residential Housing Authority, that helps first time home buyers secure a real estate investment.

We searched for months but unfortunately, getting her a home seemed to be a lot more difficult than anyone could’ve imagined.
Fortunately, we came across a beautiful ranch style home in the heart of Norfolk, even came with a new roof and just needed some TLC to make it her own.

After days of negotiations, we reached an agreement and started the process. Inspections went great and financing was going along smoothly until the NRHA said the home needed some repairs done to meet the standards of the program.

The home was an “as-is” purchase meaning seller wouldn’t be making ANY repairs, so we were at a standstill. Either release from the contract, and hope to find her a home thats similar to what we already had, which was a risk with how competitive the market is, or find a way to make it happen. WE MADE IT HAPPEN

36 repairs consisting of plumbing, painting, garbage disposal, light fixture installations, door and shelving replacements, dryway and tub repairs.... Thankfully, here at .real.estate , we have a team consisting of veteran or active duty agents that are technicians, both mechanical and electrical, that were able and willing to help.
It took a few weeks and patience on the sellers side, but we were able to get a deserving woman the opportunity of finally becoming a homeowner.

HUGE shout out to .susino and .don for handling the repairs, Brian for making the impossible possible, for persistently pushing the NRHA to get their side done, and / for saving us on the HVAC repairs.
