Knowledge Is Power! RING THE ALARM!!!

As a listing agent, I often send out text blasts to my investor network when I have properties that may be a fit—typically homes that need cosmetic updates or significant repairs.

I always make it clear that I represent the seller. In some cases, investors may suggest that if they purchase the property, they’ll bring future listings to the agent once renovations are complete. This is often just part of the back-and-forth that happens in investor conversations and relationships, and this is also coded language.

At the end of the day, my job doesn’t change: I work to protect my sellers and help them achieve the strongest possible outcome, especially for homes that need work but still deserve top dollar.

If you live in So. Hampton Roads, and you’re thinking about selling a home that needs repairs or updates PLEASE DO NOT believe an investor when they tell you an agent can’t sell your house. I’d be happy to talk through your options and what your property could realistically sell for in today’s market.
