Take time today to check for loose items in your yard. Check your gutters, are they hanging? Is there a shingle that has been flapping you keep forgetting to take care of? Plenty of gas if you have a generator? Generator working? I’ll never forget the first time I actually needed my generator, it was pouring down rain, winds blowing beyond normal, power goes out and I think, finally I get to use the generator I installed it will kick on soon. NOPE, it didn’t. Talk about disappointment. Now I’m in the rain and wind evaluating why it did not work flawlessly as it should. Go outside to find a bright RED light flashing thinking this can not be good. Fortunately, it was a system malfunction and it simply needed a button pushed to get it up and running. But, had I been attentive I would have noticed that beforehand. Now, each day before I go to bed I look to see is it red or green. I realized how important details and attention are to being able to sit in the house while it’s pouring and the wind tried to blow me off the deck.
Be safe and prepared.
