Summerfield’s movie event was truly a beautiful success. The joy in the room was undeniable, and our residents were so happy and deeply thankful to Busia, The Makey Foundation, and Derek Zemrak for generously sponsoring all the event costs.
Seeing the beautiful smiles on all the kids meant everything, just the way Busia would have always wanted it. Those smiles are a reminder of why we do this, and we are committed to continuing to take our kids to the movies to keep Busia’s wishes alive and shining bright.
Thank you so much to everyone who attended and helped make this event so special. We can’t wait to see you all again in the spring for another Movie Event!

We’ve already begun celebrating Labor Day with a warm, homemade lunch for our amazing staff!! Every bite was made with love, and it brought so much joy to see everyone enjoying the meal together. Grateful for this beautiful team and the heart they bring to everything they do.
