JUST closed 2 escrows! When we received the announcement of stay at home orders, I happened to have two homes open escrow that exact day (these were my listings). We had multiple pages of new disclosures for Covid coming out, nothing was "normal" about any of this. I didn't want to say a word because not only was I homeschooling (which I normally do with no problem ;)) but I also started a group on Facebook to sew and donate masks while I was also sewing masks daily. It was overwhelming (I have not had a single day off since March 23) but I know my capabilities and knew I could make it all happen. It was tricky, especially with Covid delays, as this was an investment project that required city approvals which of course were all delayed. So here we are in June and both of my listings in Oceanside closed escrow yesterday, ahead of our expected closing time.

Showing property looks a little different these days. All of this paperwork is to show one home. The Association of Realtors was quick to respond and find ways to keep the agents, buyers, and sellers safe. I don't mind if it means being a part of keeping others safe.😉 And since we are showing homes with masks, I was happy to customize mine to let others know right away who I am.

63% of those in the real estate workforce are women. Of those, only 8% hold leadership positions. Back in 2005 when I started Harvey Homes Real Estate, I was 25. I had no idea how many women were Brokers or owned their own businesses in the state of California. Looking back, I am so proud of my 25-year-old self. I had an idea and a plan and I have managed to maintain this for 15 years while operating Harvey Homes. Thank you so much for the support over the years. Without you all, I wouldn't still be open and working hard to make a difference in this industry!
