One week ago today I had a baaaad fall. 🤕 Our camper is parked next to the house and we were doing some work on it, it was dark out and misting and I had on some stupid slides with zero traction on the bottom...as I stepped down onto the second step my foot slid forward and I fell back onto the corner of the metal step. It knocked the breath out of me and every movement was excruciatingly painful so Brad took me to the ER and after some good drugs lol and a scan, the doc said I had multiple rib contusions and a hairline fracture on one. I'm looking at 4-6 weeks before it heals completely. 😭

If you've ever had a rib injury you know exactly what I'm going through and if you haven't, consider yourself lucky! It is the WORST physical pain I've ever had in my life! Frequent muscle spasms, extreme difficulty getting comfortable anywhere, and the worst part was that I was just getting over a cough and let me tell you, every time I've had to cough I felt like I was gonna die!!

Brad, the girls and my mom have all stepped in over the past week to help me get through this. This man of mine is the absolute best caretaker; he took off work up until today to wait on me, feed me, and basically spoil the crap out of me and make sure I had the best care possible. 🥰 Today is the first day that the pain eased up a bit but I still can't lift anything with my right arm or move my torso in certain directions without pain. But moving around the house today and doing some light chores definitely felt good and gave me hope that I'm over the worst of it. God is good!

All prayers have been greatly appreciated 🙌 and if I've been dead to the world for the past week now you know why!

Over two decades hosting Thanksgiving dinner and I wouldn't have it any other way! It's one of my favorite meals of the year. 🦃 Always a blessed time to get all of the family together and super sweet to have Daisy home from college for the holiday. ❤️ Sad I didn't get pics of everyone but we were too busy enjoying our time together.
