Waco’s Juneteenth celebrations return with a weekend full of music, culture, and community.
The festivities begin Friday with the free Brazos Nights concert at Indian Spring Park featuring MC Lyte and The Zapp Band.
The fun continues Friday and Saturday at Brazos Park East with the Taste of Southern Soul Juneteenth Celebration, hosted by Riverfront Entertainment LLC. Enjoy live music, vendors, food trucks, and more.
On Saturday, the annual Juneteenth Parade presented by the Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce steps off at 10 a.m. from Heritage Square and concludes at the historic Paul Quinn Campus. While you're downtown, be sure to stop by the Waco Downtown Farmers Market at Bridge Street Plaza to shop and support local vendors.
After the parade, head to Wilbert Austin Sr. Park for the Juneteenth Community Block Party hosted by the McLennan County NAACP, with music, food, and family-friendly activities.
