Correction from yesterday 👇

There was a fake flyer going around about a possible AI data center in Yaphank/Brookhaven.

As of now, Brookhaven Town says there is no application filed, no public hearing, and no pending vote.

But there have reportedly been power-related conversations with LIPA and NYISO — so the concern didn’t come from nowhere.

The lesson?
Facebook can spread misinformation fast, and AI can repeat it if we don’t ask it to verify.

If you’re using AI to research local news, ask:
“Fact-check this and give me the original source.”
