Hello friends. You may have heard that Howard Hanna Real Estate Services is launching a new portal for our agents called Hanna List. This is exciting for our company, but mostly for our listing clients. This new portal will give sellers options! However, as is typical with anything new, there is misunderstanding about Hanna List. Some are saying it is a violation of clear cooperation and limits the seller’s exposure. Sadly, this is said by those who do not yet understand the new technology or have not taken the time to educate themselves before speaking. This new portal will allow our agents to have a real strategy when selling a client’s home, giving our clients CHOICE while still aligning with current clear cooperation standards from NAR and the local MLS. In fact, Garry Marsoubian, the CEO of MLS Now, is quoted in an Inman News article in support of Hanna List.
"MLS Now president and CEO Garry Marsoubian said HannaList aligns with current regulations, specifically the National Association of Realtors’ Clear Cooperation Policy, which requires that listings be entered into the MLS within one business day of public marketing." - Inman News 03/11/2026
Another advantage of Hanna List is that when a potential buyer views a new listing, they are directed to the listing agent who knows the property and the community, rather than to an unknown agent who bought the lead from a portal. This is a win-win for the seller and the buyer.
