LOCAL STYLE - A STORY FROM A LOCAL BRADDAH: I come from one small island in the BIG PACIFIC OCEAN called MAUI , HAWAII part of the HAWAIIAN ISLANDS.

If you've ever lived or was raised hea you say, WAT EVAS, DAKINE, WAT DAT, WASSUP, BRAH, HOWZIT, K DEN, LOLO, PAU and SHOOTS to name a few. When you go to other people's houses, there's always some kind of ONO grinds (food) to eat. If you need anything at all, someone's got your back!!!

Ohana (family) is everything and we care for our elders until the day they go onto paradise! Everybody knew everybody hea. We learned how to HUNT, FISH and drive 4wd. We eat POI, RAW FISH and SEAFOOD (with the heads still on) and drink HAWAIIAN SUN, ALOHA MAID or DIAMOND HEAD drinks everyday. From the day we were born, HO'OLAULE'A, MERRIE MONARCH, KUHIO, and KAMEHAMEHA days are holidays we thought were celebrated everywhere until we talk to people from the mainland (LOL). And yes, Aloe does cure everything!!

Musicians🎤🎷🎸🎹🎺📯💽 (not athletes) are the most popular kids in school. Shopping carts are (WAGONS) Refrigerators are called ICE BOX. Living room is DA PALA. We say 👈TRY MOVE👉 instead of excuse me. For respect, we call others AUNTY👩,UNCLE👨, SISTAH👧, BRADDAH👦, GRAMMA👵, GRANDPA👴 related to you or not. Oh and if you DISRESPECT your elders, pray no one calls your mom and dad or bumbai (LATER) you going get LICKINS👊 or CRACKS👊. HAWAII is a place where discipline is not child abuse. McDonald's food trays were used as hand boards to body surf and everyone used RUBBA SLIPPAS!
