Important school changes to consider. If you are relocating, schools around here can be complex to navigate. A lot of options and schedules you may not be familiar with - hello year round and modified year round. Good news is there is something for everyone! Reach out if you are considering a
move!

In case you missed it, the school board officially approved these calendar changes for WCPSS, beginning in 2027-28. 🗓️

These schools will remain year round, but will have one single track instead of the multi-track calendars they currently have. This shift is due to changes in enrollment in these areas. 🏫

The first photo was my inspiration long before we ever broke ground on our home. I knew I wanted dramatic, traditional-style windows in our family dining room — tall, timeless, and full of natural light.

The second photo is the “under construction” stage where that vision finally started becoming real. Then the final product.

One thing I always tell people building a custom home: start saving inspiration photos early. Months before. Even years before. Create folders. Screenshot details. Pay attention to what keeps drawing you in.

Because during the building process, there will be a lot of opinions, revisions, and moments where it’s easy to pivot away from what you originally loved.

In our case, another window design was proposed, and honestly… everyone else liked it. But I kept coming back to this inspiration photo because I knew how I wanted the space to feel.

And I’m so glad I trusted that instinct.
