🚨 My prediction for the Massachusetts housing market heading into Q3 and Q4…

I don’t have a crystal ball, but here’s what I’m seeing.

Inventory is beginning to build.

More homeowners who have been sitting on the sidelines are starting to consider selling.

As more homes hit the market, buyers will have more options, less competition, and stronger negotiating power than we’ve seen over the last few years.

Do I think the market crashes? Absolutely not.

Do I think we’re moving toward a more balanced market? Yes.

A balanced market benefits everyone — buyers gain options, sellers gain serious and qualified purchasers, and transactions become less stressful overall.

The next 6-12 months could look very different from what we’ve experienced since 2020.

I don’t have a crystal ball, but if I had to make a prediction for the New England real estate market heading into Q3, Q4, and the start of next year, here’s what I see:

• Buyer competition continuing to disperse
• Inventory gradually increasing
• More opportunities for buyers who have been sitting on the sidelines
• A more balanced playing field during negotiations
• Fewer bidding wars compared to what we’ve seen over the last several years

I’m not predicting a crash, and I’m not predicting a boom. I simply believe we’re moving toward a healthier, more balanced market where both buyers and sellers have opportunities.

If you’ve been waiting for the “perfect” time to make a move, the next 6–9 months could present some interesting opportunities.
