Starting October 1, 2026, Maryland homeowners may be able to use a Transfer-on-Death (TOD) Deed to pass property to loved ones without probate.

You can still live in, sell, refinance, or revoke the deed during your lifetime.

Streaming services, subscriptions, memberships, utilities, and other recurring charges should be reviewed as part of managing the estate.

The Personal Representative is responsible for managing estate finances, including tracking receipts and payments made from the estate.

But don't cancel everything blindly, some services may still be necessary to maintain the property or protect estate assets.

Review first. Document everything. Then decide what should stay or go. 📋🏡
